While the guys have been getting the heifers ready for this year’s round of AI-ing, I’ve been trying to get my garden in. I don’t get in a rush, and Memorial Day is a pretty fair marker that it is safe to garden. Except for last year… when we received our last hard frost in mid June! Vernon headed out to the mountain pasture of a neighbor to help her with a project. I was supposed to look through some old photos to add to the story, but I flopped on the couch and vegged out in front of “Outlander”. Well, someday I may get my act together!
On the way home from watching him work, I stopped on “Aunt Mary’s Hill” to take some wildflower photos. The balsamroot is just past prime, as is much of the lupine, but it still made for a breathtaking location. Since two of my most popular models were along… here they are…

These photos are wonderful.
Just WOW.
Lovely wildflowers to contrast the red dirt hills in the background. The dogs look so happy!
