Another grand time at my favorite craft/repurpose/upcycle/creative show!
It was absolutely gorgeous weather… a grand drive over the beautiful Big Horn Mountains.. a quick stop at my favorite stone chapel in Ucross…
Then the final leg of the trip, snaking through the rolling hills on the back road, to Born in A Barn. You can go follow them on Facebook just to see some of the vendors they had this year. I’m not sure of how many booths there were… but I am sure I didn’t get a good look at them all!
It is astonishing at the number of creative and talented people…
Furniture built or redone, vintage items, clothing upcycled, metal signs, wooden signs, wooden American flags, candles, woolen purses, pottery, soap, macrame, tshirts, hats (ball caps, cowboy hats, women’s flat hats), art work, costume jewelry, turquoise jewelry, wire wrapped jewelry, oh so much jewelry!
It all gets a bit overwhelming. You know you won’t see everything. I thought I’d share a few of my favorite vendors with you.
This is Debbie. We have a relationship… I ALWAYS find her, as you can see in this next photo I’ll enter as Exhibit One.
I’m pretty consistent with my purchases! Yes, I already own EIGHT, EIGHT!!!, of her necklaces! They’re all with the Wyoming bucking horse. Photos never do them justice, you have to try them on! Believe me… I hang out at her booth, pulling out gorgeous stone beaded necklaces one after another, but once you start trying them on, Debbie is right when she tells you the necklaces will tell you when you’ve chosen the right one!
Her website is wyomingcustomdesigns.com.
What color did I buy this year? Because, of course, I bought one… well, I’ll try it on tomorrow and take a picture, and you can see whether or not I did well!
Please go check out Debbie’s website… just make sure you enlarge the photos just to see how beautiful the stone beads really are! Tell her I sent you!
Find me here!
I’ve narrowed my choices to 2, 5, and 8 (from left). Now tell me what I have to do to get it down to one. Oh, you said try them on, didn’t you. Well, nuts – wish I had that option. I love the iconic Wyoming Cowboy.
Those necklaces are amazing. I’m not surprised that you bought another one.
Thank you for sharing the exquisite Ucross Chapel which I hope to visit next year. Born In a Barn sounds like so much fun!
