Outside and Semi-Productive 2

Posted on October 28, 2024

Reagan and I returned to find cows streaming down the hill and hiking to the gate.

We teamed up on the gate and drove through to make sure the cows turned right. Vernon drove the pickup and horse trailer down the hill and met us just as the cows reached us. The three of us held them up and waited for a cowboy to reach us.

Brandon arrived.

They’re off again.

The side by side can’t travel through this section, and it’d been a while since the lead went through, so I zipped clear around to the highway in order to flag traffic. Unbelievably, Brandon had just opened the gate. There’s a good two miles or more back to the tail end! I slowed the traffic and they came across… a steady stream of cattle… and I love them for getting me outside and semi-productive!

All in all a class act — everyone working together, including the cows!

Such a beautiful day for you to get out and help a little bit! That’s good medicine for the soul.
