My aunt in Oklahoma is a Valentine’s Day baby. Curiously enough, she had contacted me last week with a discovery. Among her mother’s papers (my grandmother), she had found this little gem.

Yup. A Valentine made by me for my grandmother when I was in 3rd or 4th grade when I lived in Alaska.

My aunt said my grandmother treasured it. I wonder… I used to write to her fairly often… was this just my first Valentine to her or did I never send her another? I don’t remember, but it is a fun keepsake! (Addressed in my mother’s handwriting)

Along that vein… here’s Vernon’s Valentine this year. I don’t make him one every year, but he seems to like them when I do!

I hope you had a memorable Valentine’s Day!

Loved your comments on the Valentine . I think it’s terrific that you make one for Vernon. I am checking emails while at the hospital volunteering. It’s a slow day.
What precious treasures to keep.
Very sweet. Lovely keepsakes.
Great Post!
I love nostalgia. And the currant one is great too.
How sweet!
