Supposedly Prepared

Posted on February 17, 2025February 17, 2025

Calving season is almost here, so we brought the heifers from their School Section field where they’ve been happily eating hay up to the calving shed. While there is a week to go, there are always a few early ones.

First, there was a bit of sorting to do…

I stayed out of the way, carefully walking on the uneven frozen poop in the corral. Some cows went across the bridge and Daniel and I took the little bunch of early calvers back to the School Section field.

Luckily, they wanted to go and we had an easy enough time moving them that mile.

Rearranged, sorted, relocated… we’re supposedly prepared.
