History Day

Posted on May 12, 2025May 12, 2025

Fourth graders learn their states’ history… and I was asked to give a short talk about the Spring Creek Raid today for our fourth graders. Short, sweet, and a bit different take on the usual retelling as I included the side story of the Greet and Alexander families.

The good news is: No students yawned. No students fell asleep. No students seemed utterly bored out of their minds!
That’s good, right?

Outdoor lessons are always best when the weather is suitable.

Carol, Wyoming rancher

Since 2008, I’ve kept this photographic journal of life on our working Wyoming ranch.  I share ranch work, my family, crafts and DIY, my English Shepherds, Bravo and Indy, and a love for this land.  Enjoy this red dirt country!
