Let the Grass Grow

Posted on April 26, 2026April 26, 2026

After branding, it’s time to turn the cows out to their BLM allotment. We pay rent for this pasture. The following mornings were spent turning pairs through the gate. We only had four cowboys and I spent time in my sxs kicking small bunches towards the gate, slowly, hoping the cowboys could handle them and not be overwhelmed.

Bravo and Indy enjoyed themselves.

I eventually worked my way up close to the gate.

It’s so nice to have the cows out on grass especially because we just received a snowstorm to help alleviate the drought and let the grass grow!
