Let’s Listen

Posted on November 26, 2011April 1, 2015

It seems like this has become a DIY blog of late…

But between cookingbakingcleaning and cleaningbakingcooking, I have had time to play with some ideas that have been simmering for a while!
Finally… after almost a year of owning a shadowbox… I managed to create a display for the Antlers Quartet…
My grandparents’ original records, hymnals, and photographs… plus some of the songs they recorded… and a couple of photos of the Hall Freewill Baptist Church in Hall, Oklahoma.  Their church.  The cassette I made from the records 30 years ago… and hidden back behind a hymnal… a CD copy of that cassette.

If you’d like to review the movie about the Antler’s Quartet… it’s here.
As I’m holding Quinlan today… and soon to return to Waylon and Wyatt… I’m very happy we have this piece of MY grandparents’ life to share…  Hey, boys, let’s listen to your great great grandparents ONE MORE TIME!

Carol, Wyoming rancher

Since 2008, I’ve kept this photographic journal of life on our working Wyoming ranch.  I share ranch work, my family, crafts and DIY, my English Shepherds, Bravo and Indy, and a love for this land.  Enjoy this red dirt country!
