Attempt
Vernon and I took a late evening attempt at the mountain. Sure enough, we couldn’t get very far. It’s a balm to my soul to see this view, though, so it still made me smile! I spent the day crafting away, listening to a book on tape… cleaning when I needed to get up and…
Ready (Finally)
I started this little item in October for Victoria’s November birthday. I made it WAY too big, so I tore it apart. Then, I added WAY too many beads so that it was just all cluttered, so I tore it apart. Next, I liked what I did… and I’m NOT tearing it apart! Hey, Toria! …

Dirt and Mess
Victoria’s visit was short and she left after lunch… The boys’ morning was spent digging in a dirt pile with cousins. I tried to teach some finer points of rammed earth castle building, but I’m not sure if it sank in or not! The past two days have been warm, although today’s wind put a…
Boys
Victoria and her three boys finally managed to make it over the mountain for a visit… She’s tried since Christmas but there were always bad roads between there and here… She’s thrilled to be home! I took her boys walkabout this morning, leaving her to work on a paper she’s writing. An hour or so…
