Rustic Look

Posted on November 3, 2024November 3, 2024

Remember this? This is the metal clay pendant I made this summer, which then was taken back to California with my sister-in-law to be fired. She mailed it and Victoria’s earrings back to me. I waited for Victoria to come over for our final polish… The jewelry comes out of the kiln as bronze with…

Never Quit

Posted on November 2, 2024

Hoback, (then a blacksmith in a small western town) describing a hunting trip in the Big Horn Mountains in Wyoming.  It has so interested every one…

Outside and Semi-Productive 2

Posted on October 28, 2024

Reagan and I returned to find cows streaming down the hill and hiking to the gate. We teamed up on the gate and drove through to make sure the cows turned right. Vernon drove the pickup and horse trailer down the hill and met us just as the cows reached us. The three of us…

Outside and Semi-Productive

Posted on October 27, 2024

I helped! Reagan and I were on duty. Vernon, Daniel, Brandon, Victoria, Jaxon, Wyatt, and Matthew were going to bring cows off of our Mesa Pasture. Reagan and I could bring up the side by side, bringing drinks and snacks, following along on a short bit that the side by side could handle… then go…

Diamond Dot

Posted on October 26, 2024

Some of you were asking about my finished diamond dot “painting” the other day. This popular craft is much like the paint by number art we did as kids. The sheet comes with the pattern stamped on a sticky surface covered with a plastic sheet. For those of you who cross stitch, this will be…

Throwback Thursday: Truce, v.2.0

Posted on October 25, 2024

This was first posted October 25, 2014. Meet the new addition to the menagerie.  She’s tiny, has no name yet (!) and, hopefully, is a good mouser!  My studio and chicken coop are overrun with mice… and there’s some in my house… which will probably get worse with winter coming.  Now that she’s used to…

Win

Posted on October 22, 2024

I decided where I wanted to go with my tables. Originally, I planned the flowers to cover most of the legs. I couldn’t balance the size with the sense of “Impressionism” I wanted to attempt. I also darkened the entire top with black stain which I really like! Vernon walked in and said, “ This…
