Scenes from the Calving Shed Video

Posted on March 2, 2020March 2, 2020

Our calving shed is *THE* place to be right now. I took various little shots of activities there and compiled them into this video. Cleaning the “slime”… weighing the calves… learning to eat and run and drink from a bottle for those that need an extra boost. Plus, there’s tagging and feeding and a board…

Baby Calf Video

Posted on February 28, 2020February 28, 2020

I think this is self explanatory… but ask away if it isn’t! I decided not to put music to it, as it’s a very quiet process!

Black Hills Stock Show Video

Posted on February 11, 2020February 11, 2020

It’s been a week or so, yeah… but I couldn’t help but make a quick video of the Stock Show. FAIR WARNING: I did time lapse while going over the Big Horn Mountains while Vernon was driving. It results in a pretty radical viewpoint… so if you’re susceptible to car sickness, maybe this video isn’t…

Gebo, Wyoming Video

Posted on January 30, 2020January 30, 2020

I’ve tried to give you a sense of place when it comes to the ghost town of Gebo. It’s solitary. It’s quiet. It’s a simple echo of who once lived there. I hope you enjoy this!

Exploring Ranch Life: The Place (3)

Posted on January 21, 2020January 21, 2020

Although we worked cows today, I think I’ll finish the last of the long videos about this place, and give myself some time to sort through photos and videos. You’ll probably enjoy this video as I take you to my favorite spot, then introduce you to someone, and, maybe… see a ghost! **** I do…

A World

Posted on January 18, 2020January 18, 2020

A world of difference! My first long video I posted the other day, was 23 minutes long. It took twelve hours to upload to YouTube. I received a new router and modem from my phone company yesterday. Today’s video was 12 minutes long. Going by the first video… a half sized video should have taken…

I Can’t Wait!

Posted on January 17, 2020January 17, 2020

Thanks for the comments on my long video. I’ll answer some questions that have popped up. First of all, the song in my introduction was written and performed especially for us at our Centennial Ranch party. Joe Bain, from Crowheart, Wyoming did that for us as a special treat. I wrote about it back then…

Long Video… Yippee!

Posted on January 16, 2020January 16, 2020

Painful. Growing Pains. waaaa-waaaaa. But, by golly, I won! It’s posted on YouTube and it’s done! It was definitely a learning experience. Just FYI, it does take 12 hours to load a 23 minute video. I had to do it TWICE! I’m looking for input… if it’s too long, if it’s bad videography, if you…

Babysitting and Videos

Posted on January 13, 2020January 13, 2020

Another day of babysitting while the crew brought in the last of the cows. It was sunny today, but very windy and not warm at all. I felt very lucky to hang with Reagan instead. The other kids got off the bus at four, and their parents followed at five p.m. to eat their “lunch”….

Minute Movie: Fencing Viewpoint

Posted on January 11, 2020January 11, 2020

Aha! Already! Another Minute Movie! Well, I’ve taken quite a bit of video lately… and even better, Megan has been transferring my videos to YouTube from Vimeo. While the quality of videos on Vimeo is exceptional, I have to say that my 150+ movies there aren’t finding an audience. EVERYONE goes to YouTube, including me……
