Oh, you little tease, Mother Nature… you send us a beautiful 60 degree day with sunshine. Tomorrow is supposed to bring us snow. Vernon decided to move the cows that haven’t calved out to the old highway. I stayed home to visit with our lawyer after lunch. By the time I arrived to see if…

#TBT: Antler Hunting, v.2.0
This was first posted March 26, 2010. For those of us with “cabin fever” … these fleeting springlike days are great temptations to get OUT…OUT of our jobs, our houses, our ruts…and hike in temperatures higher than 20 degrees…with no knee deep mud…or knee deep snow.We can walk and see what the winter brought and…
Wordless Wednesday: “In the Fading Light”
For a jigsaw puzzle of this photo, go HERE.

Unmotivated
I haven’t ventured far from my house. I’ve tried to finish up my earrings and necklaces and get them ready for sale, and I’m not sure what else is occupying my time… The cows are calving… Vernon has fixed fence, Daniel and Brandon have put new tracks on the excavator… and I’ve helped with none…

Earrings
Need to finish some still… and a couple of the larger ones I’m turning into necklaces (not pictured). All woodburned with acrylic paint, some with wood stain.

Meanwhile…
While the southern part of Wyoming received 2-3’, yes, FEET, of snow since yesterday… and then the wind blew… I sat here with simply overcast skies and a smidge of rain… and finished up some crafts. I made some earrings too. I’ll share those tomorrow.

Well, my apologies. Come to find out, YouTube doesn’t just let anyone go “live”. So my Q&A for this morning had to be done on Facebook. It’s now available on YouTube and, HERE!

Queen of the Hay Bale
I think I could start a photo folder entitled, “Things I See On My Way Home from Work”. When I spotted this, I *had* to flip a “U-ie”. Uey? U-E? YOOEEEEEEE? So I turned around, hoping she hadn’t moved. Nope. Not concerned. She stayed there for quite a while, actually! I think the deer are…

#TBT: Nice, Kitty, Kitty, v2.0
This was first posted March 13, 2010. Last year’s entry about today’s event was labeled “Herding Cats“. In it, I elaborated how much moving baby calves was a painful, frustrating process which let me lose my temper and get disgusted at anything with Angus blood and 4 hooves. And a few other moving things…Today’s version…

Wordless Wednesday: “Calving Supplies”
Usually, I give you a wonderful landscape… today… still life with calving supplies! Go to the jigsaw puzzle HERE.

SUPERvisor!
Daniel, Tess, Reagan, Brandon, and Megan journeyed to Worland today to give our yearling heifers a pink eye vaccination. Vernon kept an eye on our few remaining heifers and the cows that may feel like calving since we have a snowstorm blowing in tonight. Tess gave me some wonderful photos that show a fantastic little…

Buddies
Victoria was here for a visit so, of course, we all went down to see some baby calves and help clean pens or do whatever was needed. Quinlan and Lorelei were along as well, and we soon found out that in the hay and straw was a calf waiting to be reunited with its mom….
