They were the clowns for the mutton busting. Yes, plenty of other events, but my best photos are the rough stock. I hid in the car with the air conditioner on full bore during the roping. I apologize to all my roper friends, but standing in the sun about made me sick! I needed to cool down!
I had such a great time in Ten Sleep for the 4th in 2009! It’s great to see traditions like ya’lls stay alive. Hopefully I will get to make it back for the celebrations sometime in the future.
Wow! those “rough riders” all deserve a ribbon!
Those are a couple of the youngest rodeo clowns! No mutton busting? No barrel racing? Incredible photos again!

Have there always been young clowns for the mutton busting? Are those local boys?
No, they aren’t local… they were probably with the “big” clowns or stock contractors.
You are such an artist! I love how life looks through your lens. Thank you thank you thank you!
Thanks!
Love this Carol!! Can we share it on our rodeo FB page? Are you planning on entering the calendar photo contest? We would love for you to enter!
Kristen, yes, you can go ahead and share it. I haven’t read the rules for your calendar contest, so I won’t commit here! 😉

It’s a good enough little rodeo… not great, but ok! It’s tradition, though! Hope to see you someday!

Nice! Well done!
