I noticed in your website when I clicked on dogs that you are located in Ten Sleep, Wy. My husband and I have been to the guest ranch, Red Reflet, a couple of times and fell in love with the area. I am so sorry about the blizzard and the loss of animals. I watched a video yesterday and it brought tears to my eyes. I grew up on a dairy farm in the south and my father and brother raised cattle also. There are so many people making comments that are nasty when they have probably never seen a real cow only the ones that are on their plates. I love reading your blogs. Keep up the great work you are doing.
Carol – I thought of you when I read this (#5 is my favorite):
1. You can always tell a cowboy but you can’t tell him much.
2. If you get to thinkin’ you’re a person of some influence, try orderin’ somebody else’s dog around.
3. There’s two theories to arguing with a woman. Neither one works. ~ Will Rogers
4. Turnip tops don’t tell you the size of the turnips.
5. He was as mad as a mule chewing on bumblebees.
6. He couldn’t hit the ground with his hat in three throws.
7. If you’re not making dust, you’re eating it.
8. Just because trouble comes to visit doesn’t mean you have to offer it a place to sit down.
9. There’s no place ’round the campfire for a quitter’s blanket.
10. It doesn’t matter how big of a ranch you have…or how many cattle you brand…or how much money you’ve got…the size of your funeral is still going to depend on the weather.
I have no objections… it was an e-mail I received from a friend. I have already used the bumblebee comment today… Tempers are up here at work – but be the sunny weather.
Thank you! And I think tempers are up all over, Praying for sunny weather ahead in all areas of our lives!

Thanks, Carol with an e… my mom always said she’d wished she’d spelled my name with an “e”! Red Reflet is a gorgeous place!
