Hard Working Girl

Posted on September 15, 2019September 15, 2019

As I looked through photos from the other day… there was one that stood out.

This one that Lorelei took.

There’s Lacee, holding the heavy pipe that blocks the gate stop Brandon is holding.

I asked Tess about it. She said Lacee did it for the whole time they worked. It was her job. That’s pretty good work for a five year old!

So I decided to share the short video on Facebook and link to it here. I love how she just flicks the dirt/poop that lands on her arm… nothing to get excited about. Oh, and her “tattoo” is for Girl Scouts… totally fine by me…

Atta girl, Lacee.

Oh, and HEY! A HAPPY EIGHTH BIRTHDAY WISH FOR QUINLAN… My, how time flies!

Girl power! And kudos to the adults who allow young children to do “real” work, and do not relegate them to just watching because a “grown-up” could do the job faster and more easily. Happy Birthday to you, Quinlan!

Ohh, you betcha, you go girl!! 😀 <3 My little niece here is like that. I was running the wood splitter when she was five and she came out and wanted to help, so I asked her to push me some wood rounds. She moved, lifted, carried, and shoved around chunks of wood that looked about bigger than her for quite some time while her brothers played. She's eight now, and she's a tough one!
    Happy Birthday, Quinlan!

“Atta girl” indeed! Most impressive. And she does her job so matter-of-factly. Cool!!
Happy Birthday wishes to Quinlan from me as well.
