So, I have to say… you readers are amazing. Every once in a while, you just floor me. I received a very long package in the mail the other day… a surprise gift from one of you!
Well, we’d kind of talked about it. Then I totally forgot about it… and now, here they were.
Do you know what they are? They are stretcher boards for hides and barely used. I won’t be using them for that. They are very well sanded and with just a smidge of cleaning, I think they’ll work great for wood burning.
They’re obviously long enough for names… or scenes… or gee, I don’t know quite what yet!
I have been finishing up some other crafts. The long drive to Rapid City and back let me finish a set of reins… and I also pulled the rug I’ve taken on many trips… I need to finish it or call it big enough! Plus, I tried a new one… I’ll have pics of those soon!
Anyway… thank you SOOOO much for these boards… I’ve got to come up with something creative!
Find me here!
A wall hanging. Not necessarily wood burning. Painting. With you amazing talent. Even fabric.
These are cool as is! Just think how much more cool they are going to be after you add some unique creativity! We await.
I was thinking it was an ironing board but I don’t know what anyone would want one of those for.
I knew what it was right off the bat, mine weren’t quite as perfect as this, kinda crude, but still the same basic shape, I trapped muskrats back in the 60’s, sold my 1st ones for 25 cents! The most I ever got was $1.25, but one year I paid my car insurance for 6 months with trapping money, ran the traps before & after school, my best day, I caught 3 muskrats in the same trap, 1 on the way out & another on the way back in the morning & another school! Life was good-
What nice gift. Would old wood ironing boards do the same?
You mean to wood burn on? Gee, that seems like it would be a large area to do. These are only like 4 or 5 inches wide. Not quite so daunting.
