The huge blizzard they predicted? It hit south of us but as of this evening, hasn’t made its appearance here. We were due to get most of it tomorrow, so I’ll see what I wake up to!
The wind did blow all day and it was cold, so I sat down and pulled out my wax and dyes and went to work on some pysanky. I used to make this every year and I’ve even given classes on it and I wrote a short story to go with it… so it was a shock when Lorelei told me she didn’t know I made them! Plus when we put some out on display at the library, some just shattered! Egg shells that have some age, come to find out, get even more delicate!

I had hoped to get the kids here this past weekend, but it didn’t work out. Maybe someday they’ll be interested in making some eggs with me.

Nothing better than crafting when the weather is cold. Your designs are amazing.
Wow! You take Easter egg dying to a whole new level! Beautiful!

I’m so glad you taught me how to make them!! I need to get my dyes and wax out too. It’s a snowy day here today — what better way to spend it?
I remember your tutorial on Pysanky. Hope Lorelei really get curious so you can pass this craft on to her. The eggs turn out so beautiful!
