Dots

Posted on October 21, 2024

It’s a small accomplishment, but I’ll take it. I finished this today. The frame is on its way and it will be added to my wildflower items. It is 13×13. That’s a lot of dots!

Gorgeous!

Posted on October 15, 2024

First thing this morning, I texted Megan and Tess and begged for photos of today. They’re gathering our mountain pasture in order to bring the cows down tomorrow. Both of them were sweet enough to send me some! So instead of pics of me washing dishes or staring at YouTube, you get these gorgeous photos!

Elk Fire

Posted on October 15, 2024

Well, I tried to sand on my table by hand today but I think I need my little hand sander because I couldn’t sit there with my knee bent like that for very long. Most of what people suggested for me to do to fill my week, does take some walking around, so that won’t…

Unique Furniture

Posted on October 13, 2024

Wow. If you haven’t, you should read yesterday’s comment section! B. gave me a thorough explanation of what probably happened with my stain, which basically boiled down to: since I didn’t strain my steel wool from my vinegar, the solution kept oxidizing while also getting stronger while I used it up. Therefore… more red. Very…

Tablework

Posted on October 12, 2024October 12, 2024

Now that my painting is complete, I’m moving over to a pair of tables. I asked a friend if he could build me two matching bedside tables. One week later, I had this pretty pair. Great job, R.H.! I had a plan… First, I wanted a grey stain and since I’ve done this before, I…

Throwback Thursday: How Lucky, v.2.0

Posted on October 10, 2024

This was first posted October 12, 2014. My favorite trail drive of the year… bringing the cows off the top of the Big Horn Mountains. It looks like they’ll fall off the top of the world… Never fear, there *is* a hillside to run down.  Well, I don’t run, but some cows do!  The rest…
