Skulls

Posted on March 20, 2014

Snow Scenes

Posted on March 18, 2014March 18, 2014

Classic Springtime

Posted on March 17, 2014

The snow is barely gone and another blizzard is raging outside, what was starting to dry up here will be mud again tomorrow. Classic of springtime around here… Some of our bulls graze by the old granary while remnants of winter hang on the shadowed hillsides and draws.  This was two days ago… tomorrow morning…

Gunmetal Blue

Posted on March 15, 2014

Snow. Wind. Thankfully, not much snow, but it was mostly a grey day… great for sorting out a bunch of craft supplies!  I tried hard to make my pile of crafty items get organized into cabinets, simply because I need to be able to reach the tall part of the ceiling to insulate and install…

Painted Skull

Posted on March 14, 2014

Just a note to answer a question posed on yesterday’s post… Yes, I painted that skull! Back in the day, southwest decor was big and one of the mainstays of it seemed to be painted skulls, either buffalo or bull.  Always looking to make a very extra pesos, I jumped in and painted quite a…

Getting Closer

Posted on March 13, 2014

Well, it was back to the Good Ol’ Art Studio Project the other day…  I worked a bit with some chinking… some cleaning… some organization… but best of all… I managed to get some insulation up! Just about ready for some ceiling osb now… The tallest side still needs to be insulated, but I may…

Sometimes, you need a little help. Sometimes, it just takes a guiding hand to get you headed in the right direction. Sometimes, someone cares enough to help.

Questions and Answers – March 2014 Edition

Posted on March 10, 2014

Absolutely WARM today… up to 60˚!  Tons of water rolling everywhere and there’s plenty of snow on the mountains and more predicted for tomorrow.  Must be spring!  Let’s get to the questions!   Holly and Alice:  How are the bees?  What makes them cross-comb instead of doing it the right way? Can you prevent them…

Three Little Mittens… Plus One

Posted on March 9, 2014

Though winter is on the way out, I still went ahead and made more felted wool mittens for my grandsons.  Next winter, Jaxon will need some, but for now, the three oldest are ready for those late snowstorms and possible sledding outings that still may be in our future! Here’s Waylon’s… Here’s Quinlan’s… As a…
