Throwback Thursday: Calf Warmer, v.2.0

Posted on February 6, 2025February 6, 2025

This was first published February 10, 2015. Still hung around close to the house today… working on some wool projects and cleaning… After lunch, though, I said I’d feed my bees and head down to where the guys were installing the calf warmer. After some research, I decided NOT to give the bees any corn…

Hippy Chicks

Posted on February 3, 2025February 3, 2025

An update on my beaded curtain for my chicken coop. It works! Since I’ve hung up their hippy style beaded curtain in the door, NO little sparrows or chickadees have entered my coop. I regularly would have 1-6 little birds in there at night when I closed up. I’ve had ZERO. Wild birds are no…

Making Room

Posted on February 2, 2025February 2, 2025

My new side by side needed a home out of the weather, and after measuring carefully, I decided it would fit in a small side of my garage, currently home to my “woodworking” tools. … and a trampoline. … and spare lumber. … and some kites. … and an old table. Vernon came to help,…

Birth Days

Posted on February 1, 2025February 1, 2025

A birthday celebration a few days late for Tess… And, another birth day! One of Daniel’s cows has calved, making it officially the first calf of 2025 on the Greet Ranch. Welcome to the world, little sir!

Double Alley

Posted on January 31, 2025January 31, 2025

Taking a tour with my little new machine, I finally was able to see our new alleyway for our new corral. Work has been suspended on the corral… but pieces and parts have arrived including our double alley. After much debate and discussion, we decided on this setup. It may seem a bit confusing here…

Throwback Thursday: Workbench, v.2.0

Posted on January 30, 2025January 30, 2025

This was first published January 27, 2015. Well, remember I told you I hauled my tools up to the garage from my studio?  There was no where to put them!  Argh!  Long ago, I had Daniel cut some logs to be legs for a workbench and they still were in the garage.  There was also…

Wanna Go?

Posted on January 28, 2025January 28, 2025

I generally don’t share about more private things, that’s not my style. But this is a tad different. Plus, I’m sooooo excited, I’m beside myself. Vernon and I went to Sheridan to buy me a new toy. I was leaning towards buying me this new little sxs. Brand new, without many of the bells and…

Looking Forward

Posted on January 28, 2025January 28, 2025

I suppose it must be like birthdays… the more you have of them, the less important they seem to be. I missed my blogoversary on January 20th. Here I am, still here, plugging away since 2008. I’m starting my seventeenth year? That’s rather unbelievable, although, I might have said that every year. I look back…

Sit and Paint

Posted on January 26, 2025January 26, 2025

We had a fun time at the Ten Sleep Library’s “Sit and Paint” the other day. We watched a Bob Ross video on YouTube and attempted to re-create it. It was our first oil painting class and we learned many things. I’ve never played with oils before and it is quite the process! We all…
