Art Doodle

Posted on March 16, 2015

I taught an art doodle class at the library tonight.  It’s a fun little hobby, easy to do, minimal supplies… We went over some designs… Practiced a little… Then we all copied a stencil of a cat… and look what happened!  Each one is so different!  This was SO FUN!  Thanks, ladies, for coming!

Way to Go, Ten Sleep

Posted on March 14, 2015

Well, today was very fun and quite successful. I did manage to slop some green chili in my car on the way in to the contest… so I’ll be cleaning that up tomorrow!  Here’s my entry.  I was all about the presentation! That’s my sign…and a tablecloth…  Unfortunately, I didn’t win… Sara did… She’s sporting…

Peace, Truce

Posted on March 13, 2015

It must be too late at night because I do not know where my camera is… sometimes… sigh. Well, I’ll save today’s story for another time, I guess. And tomorrow is the chili cookoff and auction and tshirt sale to benefit the Fire Department, so I’ll be sharing that tomorrow.  Direct donations can be made…

Heads Up, Craig Johnson Fans!

Posted on March 12, 2015March 13, 2015

Remember our big fire at our fire hall?  I called that post Phoenix because I knew this little town’s fire hall would rise from its own ashes! Well, neighboring towns have been generous in gear and money… raising money at basketball games or bake sales.  Donations have come from across the country directly to our…

Questions and Answers – March 2015 Edition

Posted on March 9, 2015

Let’s go! Della/Joanne/Peg:  (Concerning my doodle shoes)  Do you use a pen, sharpie, what? Most looks way too fine for a typical sharpie, but maybe a fine point?  How long did it take to complete your doodling? I used a fine point sharpie on canvas shoes.  I did it over a series of nights in…

Winter Scenes

Posted on March 8, 2015

Two days of absolutely gorgeous weather and the snow is retreating fast!  I’ve taken the twins out in the morning to go sledding because by afternoon, the snow is more mush than snow and it’s hard for three year olds to slog through mush. Victoria and the boys did leave this afternoon though, which gave…

Guest Doodle

Posted on March 7, 2015

Today’s guest blogger, aged three, begins practice for my art doodle class.  He seemed to be more interested in color than form.  I may need to work on my early childhood teaching skills… Just a bit. Thanks, Wyatt. **** Any more questions for my Q&A session?  Post them in the comment section!

Latest Creation

Posted on March 6, 2015

In a week, I’ll be teaching a couple classes on doodling.  Yes, those little squiggles made during boring meetings, bursts of creativity, and relaxing moments. What good is doodling?  What can you do with doodles? Well, here’s my latest creation.

Meet Spock

Posted on March 5, 2015

I had taken photos and a movie of a calf being born the other evening, but it turned out too dark to share with you.  That was Spock.  I guess since I “thought” about sharing it… you would all know who I was talking about!  Duh.  So, sorry about that! But here he is… in…
