I Wish

Posted on November 18, 2014

I Wish I had painted this, but it’s an app.  I plan on learning from it though…

Chicken in the Cold

Posted on November 17, 2014

After the frigid cold we’ve been having, a day where it gets up into the teens and twenties feels pretty dog gone good!  You’re ready to get out of the house and go for a walk… maybe a short one, but a walk all the same. Since the cold hit, Truce, the black cat, has…

Long Way to Go

Posted on November 16, 2014

I love the look of watercolors… but need to be freer in my application of pigment!  I tend to overwork, overthink, and overdetail a lot of my paintings… so I TRIED… and practiced… and, Yeah, still have a long way to go before I qualify as a watercolor artist!

Unroll and Enjoy!

Posted on November 15, 2014

We received a box of cranberries from a hunter… and I mean A BOX.  I *like* cranberries, but you’d have to eat a lot of turkey to use all those cranberries! I decided to make craisins out of most of them. I pulled out my dehydrator and layered a bunch of cranberries on the shelves. …

Brad and Dan

Posted on November 13, 2014

You guys are simply a blessing, you know that, right?  Writing what I figured would be the most controversial blog post I’ve ever written, I just knew I’d lose readers/fans/lurkers.  Maybe I have, but at least they were kind about it and simply slipped away!  Thanks for sharing your own stories of heartbreak and hard…

Hard Stuff

Posted on November 11, 2014November 11, 2014

Honestly… I really really really contemplated not writing this post.  People told me not to.  People told me to lie.  People told me to just let it go, that you would forget, and I’d be safe.  I thought about all the options.  But, I’ve tried to be honest on here… and an outright lie just…

How Exciting!

Posted on November 10, 2014

First it rained, then it snowed… but only a measly 3″… so… it’s not so bad!  It was 14˚ this morning though.  Pretty brisk. There’s nothing like a grey, cold day with company coming to get some work done around the house.  I admit it.  My mother would be disappointed in me… I live in…

Risk

Posted on November 9, 2014

Like almost everyone else, I’m cringing about the drastic drop in temperature that is headed our way.  Yesterday and today, I’ve tried to finish up, put up, lock down, and repair whatever needed done before this storm hits. One of the things on my list today was putting the vent cover back on my studio’s…

Successful

Posted on November 8, 2014

His blocks came in a little blue zippered bag with a  “J” on it.  I do believe he liked them. Too many things and people, so they didn’t get investigated fully… but I took this as meaning he was interested! Happy Birthday, Jaxon! I’d say it was was a successful present!
