Posted on November 7, 2011January 15, 2014

Don’t know if it’s the time change or too many late night posts catching up to me… but, man!  I’m ready for bed! Since it was 14 degrees this morning… and I didn’t crawl inside the coffee pot first thing… (Y’know, if you’re gonna go work with the guys… coffee drinking is NOT the thing…

On the Trail

Posted on November 4, 2011April 1, 2015

Brandon, Megan, and Quinlan arrived late last night… and we sent the parents to bed and watched Quinlan for them!  He’d slept for most of the 6 hour drive, so he wasn’t ready to sleep more here!  I crashed at 3 am… Vernon, who had a few hours sleep under his belt, took the rest…

Comprende?

Posted on November 1, 2011April 1, 2015

Spent 80% of today making applestuff… Two big 9×13 pans of apple crisp… Dried apples… Applesauce… I’m pretty tired of peeling apples… and most were even huge softball sized ones, so it went fast! I also supervised Daniel’s cutting up of his antelope for jerky… though I wasn’t much help… I was too scared of…

Let It Sift Into Your Soul…

Posted on October 31, 2011April 1, 2015

There’s 31 of my photos in here… just like last year’s, a large monthly photo (suitable for framing ) with each…

Favorite Touches

Posted on October 30, 2011February 4, 2015

To finish my reno post… a few of my favorite touches… Fish ARE back in the bathroom… just not the ones from the ’50’s!   These are a little older… my dad’s fossil fish, plus one gifted from a friend, are hung with copper wire, patina already in place!  Though not thrilled with the look…

Looks Good!

Posted on October 29, 2011February 4, 2015

By royal decree… I declare the bathroom remodel complete! Today’s post is celebrating the bathroom as it is now! Stone seems to be my theme… and everything just fell into place! The bigger sink/vanity and medicine cabinet were purchased at a garage sale and spruced up!  Wall paint was just a few bucks… mixing mistakes!…

That Once Was

Posted on October 28, 2011February 4, 2015

I see over on a famous “pioneer” blog that she’s getting a room remodeled by HGTV. Wow. I’ve been wishing for “Yard Crashers” to show up here… but since I live four hours from a Lowe’s store… I can’t see it happening anytime soon! Well, HGTV won’t be doing it… but something *might* be happening…

The Love of the Hunt

Posted on October 27, 2011February 4, 2015

I’ve mentioned before… it’s hunting season around here. If you don’t appreciate that… perhaps you should skip this post.  Catch up with me tomorrow… But I’m gonna tell a huntin’ story! I grew up with a dad that loved hunting. In fact, the story goes… my dad went out quail hunting the day I was…
