It’ll Be Better

Posted on January 22, 2011January 11, 2015

Ah. Scheherazade was right!  😉 It was much too late and I was much too tired to finish yesterday’s story… but let us pick up where the tale had ended.   Elsa was helping Vernon and Daniel trail cattle down the road.  A unique activity because I was driving the pickup, and rarely will Elsa…

It Wasn’t Good

Posted on January 21, 2011January 11, 2015

<BIG SMILE> Can you see it? All of your well wishes made my day! Thank you all collectively! Honestly, this has been fun… and so there is no doubt that I will continue visiting with you… sharing my days… and writing my dotdotdots! Yesterday and today, we messed with our cows a bit.  Before we…

Happy Blogoversary to Me!

Posted on January 20, 2011January 11, 2015

Yup. It’s true. January 20, 2008, I began this blog! After following some blogs out there… and having people question me about my life through my Rimrock English Shepherds website… I hemmed and hawed and bit my fingernails and kicked some dirt and stuck my hands in my pockets. “Yeah, OK.  I can do this.” After…

Wordless Wednesday – “It Came From Beyond”

Posted on January 19, 2011January 11, 2015

Wordless Wednesday this week reminds me of an old Sci Fi movie… (and goodnight, it’s NOT SyFy!)… “It Came From Beyond!” …but really the haze and cold sky just make the sun *look* like it’s about to go nova! **** January 19, 2010   No entry. January 19, 2009   Dally Learns (Video)

No Green

Posted on January 18, 2011May 17, 2013

We were away from the place today.  We made a mad dash to Montana to pick up a new flat bed trailer… one that the guys hope to create a bale feeder from. Now, it takes almost 4 hours to get there… and it’s just outside of Billings.  Billings!  Billings is huge anymore, well, huge…

Enjoying Themselves

Posted on January 17, 2011March 29, 2015

I spent too long at a friend’s house this evening… I just drove home through a ghostly fog… It’s late and I’m going to shortchange you with a video from last week. The snow was magical this day… so soft and fluffy, my snowshoes were almost no help at all… The dogs were enjoying themselves…

In The Works

Posted on January 16, 2011January 11, 2015

Well, I’ve known before that I hate hinges… for some reason, they puzzle me up!  Because of that simple little quirk, I didn’t accomplish anything with my dresser today except for sanding the drawer front. Yes, due to popular demand, I’m going to attempt to leave it on!  I’m glad everyone supported that idea… I…

After Shot… Kinda

Posted on January 15, 2011January 11, 2015

The other day, I gave you the “before” shot of an old dresser I am repurposing for our “new” entertainment center. So, I’ve spent a few days sanding off 95% of the old varnish… boy, it sure smelled like kerosene… I’ve taken off the old knobs… and rubbed it down with tung oil. Today, it looks…

Snake – The Video

Posted on January 14, 2011March 29, 2015

I’m very happy so many of you enjoyed the story of Snake from yesterday. I’m also glad I wasn’t the only one who could remember the Shake ‘N’ Bake commercial from way back when where the little girl says in a cute southern accent, “and ah heoppt!” Ali and Vince, it is illegal to have…

The Story

Posted on January 13, 2011January 11, 2015

Last week, a friend told me a story… They live alongside a small creek dotted with stately cottonwood trees.  In the wintertime, it’s not unusual to see a bald eagle perched among the bare branches.  Sliding along their long snowy driveway, they noticed a bald eagle on the ground, perhaps it had a rabbit or…

i am thinking i may have caused you some concern last time with my “like to meet ya – buy a cup of coffee of tea” invite. Belle, No, it was a wonderful invitation… but, honestly, I DON”T go anywhere!  I need to go see my brother and sister-in-law one of these days… but…
