Worland Library Christmas

Posted on November 21, 2020November 21, 2020

The weather has been holding and we’ve had some nice days, the sun is still strong and if the wind stays still, it can be quite pleasant. The guys are going in different directions… checking the pipeline for the cows, graveling some large stretches of road, paperwork, and designing some new pens and more corral…

Progress on the bear. Drilling holes for the cribbage board back and wood staining are left to do…

Simple Stones

Posted on November 6, 2020November 6, 2020

I spent the day trying to find my house underneath all my junk. Clean clothes, dirty dishes, cardboard boxes saved to use for stencils, and piles of junk mail. Once I got my kitchen clean, I turned around and made a dessert to go with supper. Well, the kitchen was clean for half an hour……

Bear Burn

Posted on October 26, 2020October 26, 2020

Yes, I should only be braiding reins. Yes, I should just finish painting up the rocks I have collected. No, I probably should not have started a wood burning project… but, I did. Frigid days are perfect for indoor crafting! This little guy belonged to a friend… and he was looking a tad bit rough….

Reins For Everyone!

Posted on July 27, 2020July 27, 2020

Somehow, along the way… I decided that I would make a set of braided reins for each grandchild. My thought was that when they grew up, they would each have a full sized set of reins and say, “My grandmother made these reins for me!” I decided I better get myself in gear and complete…

Back To It

Posted on July 7, 2020July 7, 2020

You may recall I talked about potholder rugs back in early February, back before the world stumbled. Well, I’m back at them! I made one for my sister… This one I called the Continental… it reminds me of the colors of the Continental Army, navy blue, tan, and white with red accents. I traded this…

Tables

Posted on May 23, 2020May 23, 2020

OK, I have a thing for tables. I love them. I have more than I need. But when Megan asked if I wanted a cute little end table, of course I said yes. It was plain. Modern. It still had stubborn stickers on it. Piece A. Piece B. Once I started sanding on it, I…

Working On It

Posted on April 19, 2020April 19, 2020

My newest little project… This little table is winning me over… I’m not sure I’ll be able to sell it! There’s a bit more woodburning to do and I might line the drawer and the final stain… What do you think?

Acrylic Pour

Posted on February 22, 2020February 22, 2020

It’s been kind of a crafty week… We had a “How To Make A Journal Class” at the library. I will share that at some point… then today, I attended an acrylic pour class put on by my friend, B. B. Has been doing this style of painting for a year or so… now combining…

Crafts

Posted on February 9, 2020February 9, 2020

Latest things to keep my hands busy… A pair of red, white, and blue round reins. Who are they for? I think I have a plan for a stash for the grandkids… as they need “grownup” reins (length is 8′ – much too long for short pony necks), maybe there will be enough of them…
