Last week we had seven calves that needed branded. Somehow or another they had missed out on the other days we branded. Since all eight cousins were here, it was definitely going to be a kids’ branding. Daniel and Brandon just “legged them out”, meaning one just grabbed a hind leg and the other “busted”,…
Re-Red: June 21 – June 27, 2020
This week on Re-Red… Pronghorn antelope, Quinlan’s artistic photos, moving cattle with Bravo along learning the ropes, and the Indian Blanket wildflower. I think I’ve found that I just love to be with kids that have to investigate their world… catching grasshoppers and minnows… learning and experiencing their world! It’s so unbelievably fun to watch…
#TBT: “A Find”, v.2.0
This was first posted July 9, 2009. I know someone who found something and then, wonder of wonders, returned it to the closest owner available. Her husband is a carpenter and was remodeling an old cabin. Tucked away in the bottom of an old cabinet, was this. Absolutely gorgeous, is it not??? Hand-tooled… spectacular. It…

More moving cattle… Pairing cattle… I hope I don’t make you dizzy with my editing! I know one thing, I’m not…
Strength
I only had time to do one adaptation of Lorelei’s photo today.
Inspiration
When Quinlan and Lorelei went with me the other day up to our Mesa Pasture… I had to check on a few things, so after admonishing them to stay away from the edge of the the 500′ canyon, I started to put my camera away. Quinlan asked if he could use it… and I handed…
#TBT: “It Was There…” v.2.0
This was first posted July 5, 2009. * My feelings haven’t changed either! CDBG 2020* Apologies for not posting yesterday. I wanted to share our 4th of July Celebration Small Town Style. I want the world to know…that here… It is everywhere. We followed it at the front of the parade. It lined the streets….
