Working On It

Posted on April 19, 2020April 19, 2020

My newest little project… This little table is winning me over… I’m not sure I’ll be able to sell it! There’s a bit more woodburning to do and I might line the drawer and the final stain… What do you think?

Same Job

Posted on April 17, 2020April 17, 2020

Yesterday’s Throwback Thursday post was from 2009. True to form, today, we did the same job. We can now put pairs out on pasture! Yay! The grass is trying its best to grow… even though we had another five inches of snow yesterday. The snow is now gone, and mud is drying out. Jaxon and…

#TBT: “If Everday Was Like This…”, v.2.0

Posted on April 16, 2020April 16, 2020

We sorted and sent another 34 pairs out into the allotment today. A day of sunshine and barely any wind. A day of yellow bells and blue skies. A day of not too cold, not too hot… a Goldilocks day. A day when the pairs stayed paired. A good day on a good horse.  …

Easter Hunt

Posted on April 13, 2020April 13, 2020

While our Easter was white, that’s not unusual. The extreme cold and wind was a little rougher! Every year, I’ve made a scavenger hunt for the kids. I started with photographs of the chicken coop, garage, or other recognizable places, and they’d run place to place, never knowing where I’d hidden their sacks of presents…

Visitor in the Quiet

Posted on April 11, 2020April 11, 2020

#TBT: From Big Sis to Li’l Momma, v.2.0

Posted on April 9, 2020April 9, 2020

This was first posted April 17, 2009. Three weeks ago, when the puppies were born, Dally was a confused soul. She wasn’t sure what happened, but she wanted to be part of it. It earned her some whippings from Elsa.  But Dally is a persistent gal and her sympathetic hormones seem to rage full bore. Each time I…
