That Grin

Posted on July 12, 2017July 11, 2017

Longmire Days was fun… definitely more people this year, although I really only felt it at the street dance.  I didn’t push for photos or autographs, but just enjoyed the visits, the food, the craft fair, the town of Buffalo, aka, Durant, which I enjoy every time I visit. I’ve more to share at a…

Why I Farm

Posted on July 8, 2017July 7, 2017

A little while ago, I had a visit from a determined young lady named Natalina Sents.  She was working on a project called Why I Farm.  Sponsored by Beck’s, a seed company, the goal is simply to recognize farmers (and ranchers!), share their stories, and connect with consumers.  Today, only 2% of Americans are farmers. …

#TBT: Longmire Redux

Posted on July 7, 2017July 6, 2017

Quinlan’s Perspective

Posted on July 2, 2017July 1, 2017

Today we shipped our steers. Normally, I’m in the scale house with Johnny, getting weights and counts… but today Megan served in that position… and I kept an eye on Quinlan and Lorelei. I even let Quinlan take some photos (my new camera has shipped and so, this one is been downgraded to the dirty/spotted/grinding/icky…

Jewelry Table

Posted on July 1, 2017June 30, 2017

I set up a table at the Ten Sleep Brewery tonight… I did last week, and sold two pieces of jewelry.  Tonight, I sold none… but hey, I had an Indian Taco, so all is well! My display is evolving. (The truck isn’t mine…) But I need to hang the pieces… on something that won’t…

Carol, Wyoming rancher

Since 2008, I’ve kept this photographic journal of life on our working Wyoming ranch.  I share ranch work, my family, crafts and DIY, my English Shepherds, Bravo and Indy, and a love for this land.  Enjoy this red dirt country!
