T-shirt Conversations and Nice People

Posted on October 13, 2017October 12, 2017

Tidbits: I’m still waiting on 200+ photos to download… so here’s some interesting stories from my trip… We took 100 pounds of Wyoming Sugar and 100 pounds of fresh pinto beans down to Texas to donate to people impacted by Hurricane Harvey.  We gave it all to Sylvia and her crew in Seadrift, Texas.  I…

Where to begin??? While I missed much of the major work around the ranch while I was gone, (preg testing, trailing the cows off the top of the mountain), I arrived back just in time for the major work at work!!!  The library’s busy week is halfway over, so I spent the day catching up. …

Posted on October 10, 2017

I’ve seen beautiful, amazing, impressive, and wondrous things on this trip… But nothing beats the gorgeous darkness of Wyoming’s interstate heading home! I’m not quite there yet, but I will be in my own bed tonight!

Roadtrip: Sea Glass

Posted on October 4, 2017October 3, 2017

When we went sailing, I managed a bit of beachcombing… Looking for seashells for the grandkids and sea glass for myself.  I found many great whelks and was thrilled with my prizes.  I stuffed them in my treasure net and brought them home.  Imagine my surprise later when the net started crawling across the tabletop!…

Roadtrip: Day Off

Posted on October 3, 2017October 2, 2017

Some days, even on vacation, you have to stop and clean house… And laundry.  And buy something to eat… We took off for Port Lavaca by way of Seadrift, a tiny community suffering from  the results of Hurricane Harvey.  We found six nice ladies running a donation site for their little town.  Headed up by…
