Go! WYO!

Posted on January 24, 2016January 23, 2016

Have to share this little crafty project I just finished last week for a friend’s birthday. She’s an avid University of Wyoming fan… following sports of all kinds… hence, “Steamboat”, the bucking horse logo. It’s all done with brown, tan, and gold Sharpies. I rather like ’em! Go! WYO!

From Stuff to Dog Bed

Posted on January 17, 2016

There may be a few people who wonder why I keep stuff… Vernon included… I mean look at these outdoor cushions! Rescued barely in time from Eden’s puppy teeth!  Yes, I did throw the others away!  These have been sitting in a sack, along with that worn out blanket.  Today, I joined them together. Not…

A Little Care

Posted on December 29, 2015December 28, 2015

Well, the grandsons didn’t make it back in time to go sledding… so I’ll share a few presents. Here’s Johnny’s watercolor I painted of this scene… Yeah, well… morepractice, morepractice! Here’s a couple I received… This one is a vintage pillow, you can see the pattern underneath where they stitched. The light is off a…

Winter Watercolor

Posted on December 23, 2015December 22, 2015

Today we shared gifts at the library… My favorite to give??? A monochrome watercolor of this sod roofed barn. I wanted a place unique enough the owner could recognize it, and this was perfect! My rendition was not… but I tried! A little artistic license… but not bad. **** On another note… I entered a…

A Couple More

Posted on December 14, 2015December 13, 2015

Here are a couple more of my crafts for the library’s Silent Auction Monday evening. This mug was given a watercolor effect using fingernail polish. This is a set of three melted crayon ornaments with bead highlights. Here’s a tiny pastel done of the Big Horn Mountains… [easy-image-collage id=16365] My favorite… three little tomtens, or…

Wyoming-loving Wine Glass

Posted on December 12, 2015December 11, 2015

I usually try to submit some crafty items for the Silent Auction at the library.  I’m actually accomplishing more than I have in years past… This is the one I’m happiest with at the moment.  I decided to etch some stemless wine glasses.  Now the glasses aren’t that expensive, so I wouldn’t be losing too…

A Little Boy’s Hands

Posted on November 23, 2015November 23, 2015

One day, when the twins were here, Wyatt found some plain wooden blocks.  I had a plan for them at one time, creating a puzzle set of four blocks, like ones I’d made for Jaxon.  Wyatt played with those blocks ALL DAY.  Well, I decide I was going to give them to him for his…

Remember This?

Posted on November 3, 2015November 2, 2015

This was my first big tangle pattern poster. I did it for One Book Wyoming and Craig Johnson’s visit to Ten Sleep last year. We didn’t use it for a poster but I spent many an hour on it, and loved how it turned out. No matter that we didn’t use it, I was bound…

Watercolor

Posted on October 4, 2015October 4, 2015

I played today by attending a workshop at the Washakie Museum in Worland.  Gayle Barnett was the presenter for a class on watercolor painting! I had never met her until today, though I have bought some of her cards before.  Formerly of Meeteetse, Wyoming, she now works in the big city of Recluse! This was…

Nice Looking Men

Posted on August 1, 2015July 31, 2015

I got sidetracked again… so still no video… Here are two of my favorite photos from the other day… My boys! Daniel. Brandon. I *still* can’t get over the grass! This morning I completed this… another sweetie! This is for a tshirt contest for the English Shepherd Club.  They wanted art – although “art” is…

67 Million Years

Posted on June 23, 2015

Hey, there, Craig Johnson, author of Dry Bones, the newest installment in the Longmire mystery series… I have a bone to pick with you!  The reason my garden is full of weeds, none of the outbuildings have been weeded around, the trim on my house isn’t painted, nor is a myriad of other jobs complete……
