Good Look

Posted on December 30, 2022

*All photos by Barrie Lynn Bryant* The saga of my photos entered in the Big Horn Basin documentary project is winding down. After traveling around the Basin on display in various venues, Barrie Lynn Bryant, director, has escorted them to their home with the Wyoming State Museum. Recently, they were put on display in the…

Arapaho Ranch Show

Posted on October 22, 2022

They held a photography show at the Arapaho Ranch mansion today. Four of my high/low key portraits were chosen. After going on display around the Big Horn Basin, they will find home at the Wyoming State Museum. Built in the Italian villa style in 1918, the mansion was a beautiful setting. Rough around some of…

Favorite Photos

Posted on January 23, 2018January 22, 2018

OK.  On paper this looks like a great idea.  What are your favorite pics from ten years of blogging??? It’s impossible!  I figure I have well over 60,000 photos.  Obviously, I don’t hit the delete button enough. Put yourself in my place.  I’m trying to show how… for instance, a prolapsed heifer is treated.  I…

Filtered

Posted on August 16, 2017August 15, 2017

I keep seeing friends sharing photos that have been filtered through the Prisma app. I had to join in. My favorite (newest) photo of Brandon using different filters…

Greeley Hat Works

Posted on October 24, 2016October 24, 2016

(Reminder: I won a contest from Beef Magazine for one of my Cowboy Santa photographs.  This is the result!) The flying trip to Greeley was over last night, and we even arrived home at a decent hour, but I didn’t have any photos since the girls were in charge of taking pics for me… and…

The Fault in My Stars

Posted on August 15, 2015August 14, 2015

Well, I thought it was me… fighting and losing the battle for night photography… I thought I was stupid (well, I am with the GoPro!)… but today, after a short discussion with a lady who is a much better photographer than I… I found out that my ISO setting is just not good enough! IT’S…

Decisions, Decisions

Posted on April 16, 2015

Pardon me… but it’s gonna be one of those times when I toot my own horn. Multiple times in the history of this blog, I’ve entered a post or two in some competition.  Most contests I pass by because they’re more of the “have-your-friends-vote popularity contests” than true competition, but I entered the BlogHer Voice…

Relish the Light

Posted on May 31, 2014

Afternoon thunderstorms roll in and by… They may hit with wind and rain and lightning and maybe hail, or they skip around us and all we get is wind!  The gust the other day was 55 mph, just a breeze in most of Wyoming, but a good one for around here.  Then, just as they…

Bad Moon

Posted on December 16, 2013

Oh, I know this is a lousy photo… taken the other night trying to capture my Christmas lights plus the almost full moon.  I didn’t have my tripod, and I waver between capturing the light on the snow, or the lights… plus, I need a little flashlight to figure out my camera controls in the…

Feedback

Posted on September 30, 2013

Not much today… Put some photos on display at American National Bank in Worland, Wyoming.  Some of my favorites aren’t there… they SOLD while at Second Street Bakery! And speaking of sold… I can’t seem to keep the local gift store in felted soap… so my stockpile I wanted to create before putting them up…

Salsa delayed again. Oh, well…  that’s life in the far far west… Tonight I can share yesterday’s focus in the creativity department.  I spent most of my time with this classic Oldsmobile Ninety Eight.
