Picture #8 – look at the corners! There are 4 little silver cowboy hats – I have one just like those! It is a pin and probably came from my Mom who travelled to every one of the lower 48 states as a youngster. Her father was a salesman for Libby Foods. Small world!

Happy New Year, and thank you for all your posts and photos.

I like that one too… one of the few times I set out to actually *take* photos, not just snap something as I went by! Happy New Year!

Happy New Year to you and all other members of the Greet Ranch family (regardless of number of legs, of course)! And Thank You for continuing your blog; I’m here each and every day, enjoying whatever you choose to write and photograph, and I could add dozens of favorite posts more to your top ten… just wish I weren’t such a lousy commenter (but my English has been going downhill so fast…). Wishing you good health and much joy and happiness!
P.S. Lucas in the snow behind that decorated gate – would make a fantastic puzzle, don’t you think? 🙂

I live in Virginia and love the West. About 1979 I hunted with two friends on the Norman Pape and Sons ranch in Daniel , Wyoming. Is that Norman standing with your Father in Law? It is a small world in some respect. I enjoyed your article in Working Ranch and hence I looked up your site. Happy New Year. Gene Moretz

That gentleman is our neighbor from here in Ten Sleep, not Norman. I’m so glad you found me through Working Ranch. Have a great new year!

What a year. I’ve loved all of your posts but I agree with your choice of the top ten. Now, about that hat from Greeley: when do you go pick that up?
