With company here, we actually took some time off… This time we chose to go to our mountain pasture and check out the grass (and weeds) and enjoy a picnic. I didn’t have enough hot dogs… so gypsy dinners it is! The scenery was beautiful… The weather was great (no wind, perfect temperature… with the…

My Style

Posted on June 11, 2012April 3, 2015

Well, for those of you interested in more wedding photos… I’ll just refer you to the photographer, who did an amazing job!  Her name is Gail Carver.  While there are a few on her website, her Facebook page has 13 wonderful photos! Me? I’m no wedding photographer!  And I seemed to be a tad busy…

Bad News/Good News Kind of Day

Posted on June 5, 2012October 17, 2014

Wow. I’m about to tip over, but had two things to share with you. Good News first or last? OK. Last. Bad News:  This morning I found tiny little Rimrock Mesa (aka Mae) had passed away during the night.  She was small, and then had a rough night, getting chilled, and, honestly, I couldn’t bring…

Two Deux

Posted on June 4, 2012April 3, 2015

Whoa. It was HOT today. What better thing to do than work hard and stand by a branding barrel when it’s 92º outside! ? Yuck. I’m  *still* drinking water. We had an excellent crew today to handle everything… Good ropers. Good wrestlers. Unfortunately, only enough time for me to take a few photos. Someday, I…

Got to ride for a bit today, and since it was a short trip, I took Lucas along.  Unfortunately, I was a bit late (another story…) and we had to trot a mile and a half to catch up to everyone. As you know, Lucas wears out easily… and I swung him by the creek…

Whew

Posted on June 2, 2012April 3, 2015

Thank you, thank you, so much. Your kind words have meant a great deal… Dally is doing fine. A shot of oxytocin this morning just to make sure there was nothing left inside… and she’s happy being Momma. So… to the good news! Five puppies… 4 girls and a boy… and they seem like they’ve…

Three Tiny Heartbreaks

Posted on June 1, 2012April 3, 2015

On schedule, Dally started going into labor last night. I was excited. I was ready. Or so I thought. I really don’t want to rehash…
