Presents!

Posted on February 8, 2020February 8, 2020

So, I have to say… you readers are amazing. Every once in a while, you just floor me. I received a very long package in the mail the other day… a surprise gift from one of you! Well, we’d kind of talked about it. Then I totally forgot about it… and now, here they were….

Foxy

Posted on December 7, 2019December 7, 2019

With posting here and on Facebook and Instagram… somehow, I missed sharing what’s been keeping me busy crafting. For those of you who do follow me on those other places… here’s a bit of a repeat. The Friends of the Library always enter a wreath in the Festival of Trees. Our original idea of making…

Gnomies

Posted on November 17, 2019November 17, 2019

After those vintage trailer rocks, I had to try my hand at making a few of those popular gnome figures. I like the trailers better, but these guys can still be my gnomies… Question: do you prefer them to be magnets or hanging ornaments?

Vintage Trailers

Posted on November 12, 2019November 12, 2019

What is it about those 1950’s trailers, repainted and repurposed instead of sitting abandoned… I love ‘em… So… grab some perfectly shaped cobbles from the creek, wash ‘em, and start painting! Aren’t they cuuuuuuuute? And I like those old pickups, too…

Treasure Beach

Posted on November 11, 2019November 11, 2019

Because I needed some rocks for a craft I had in mind… I recruited my local work force. Nothing like a good rocky beach for discovering all sorts of treasures! Tomorrow I will share what I’ve been working on.

Going For Gift

Posted on September 22, 2019September 22, 2019

Finally, I get to share! My gift has arrived and now I can show my latest woodburning project. It began as a recycled wood sign. I sanded off the brown paint, and gave myself a new canvas. I expected more of a pine board, but it is a hardwood, I believe… and it wasn’t that…

Secret

Posted on September 1, 2019September 1, 2019

I’m just about to finish a secret project… it’s been taking a fair amount of time. However, it’s for a friend, so until it’s completed, packaged, shipped, and arrives… I can’t fully share. It’s so hard to keep it a secret, just because I love sharing the step by step photos, but I think you’re…

Tray… ta-da!

Posted on June 30, 2019June 30, 2019

A couple of months ago, my best friend found a wooden tray at, I think, a garage sale… Knowing about all my woodburning that I do, she gave it to me, saying… “maybe do something for me…” So I did. I finally gave it back to her, for her birthday present. Of course, I was…

Wet Days

Posted on May 24, 2019May 24, 2019

For the month of May, my rain gauge is reading 4.11”! We’re not done yet, either. Oh, well… After dishes and some laundry, I used the grey morning to work on my table… Originally, I had planned on woodburning something on the legs… but I’m behind on my gift making and I need to finish…

Table Sides

Posted on May 21, 2019May 21, 2019

I’ll take a short break from branding, and share the latest photos from my woodburned and painted table. It’s coming along! I’ve almost completed the sides. I realized I totally forgot a block just yesterday. There will be a light stain on the bare wood. I will paint the legs, give it an acrylic finish,…

Day… Excited

Posted on May 7, 2019May 7, 2019

Wyoming is reverting to winter for a bit… winter storm warnings are out, though right here it remains simply a cold rain. Nasty weather makes me stay inside… inside lets me work on… the table! No, it’s not finished, but, holy cow! I love this little thing! I’m working on the sides now… and there…
