Monday night is our Open House/Silent Auction at the library. I’ve been decorating… trying to make that silk purse out of old Christmas decorations/sow’s ear. We have no budget for making things pretty… and so I tear into all of our boxes, remixing and modifying… and I chose our colors as green, white, and gold….

Wreath
Spent most of the day creating the Friends of the Library wreath for our local Festival of Trees this weekend. It was cold and WINDY outside, so I was perfectly content to hang out, decorate, and keep an eye on Miss Phryne Fisher… that’s Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries on Netflix. Victoria told me about this…
Tour de Wyoming
Tour de Wyoming. It’s quite the deal if you’re a bicyclist! You can check them out on their website… or just keep reading. 350+ bicyclists come over the mountain from Buffalo. Yes, OVER THE MOUNTAIN. Bless their hearts. They’ve got guts and stamina! Then in two days, they head back OVER through Shell Canyon. It’d…

Silent Auction and a Story
Well, another year down for our Silent Auction/Open House. Attendance was hurt some from the large snowstorm that blew in… but support was still there. 103 items were up for bid. Craig Johnson was here as our Special Guest, reading his newest Christmas Post-it story. Everyone had a good time… there was plenty of delicious…
A Couple More
Here are a couple more of my crafts for the library’s Silent Auction Monday evening. This mug was given a watercolor effect using fingernail polish. The top of the case… The main room with huge ornaments hanging from the ceiling and silent auction items lining the shelves and wall. Then there’s the main entryway… Finally…

Although I feel like I should have lost 10 pounds in the past two days, of course, that’s just a dream. I have *worked* though! I’ve decorated the majority of the library… photos to come later… of course, we want it to look very spiffy since our special guest, Craig Johnson, will be there for…

I made this and posted it on the Ten Sleep Branch Library’s facebook page yesterday at work… We’re happy to have a special guest at our Silent Auction/Open House this year! As of this moment, this post has been shared 46 times and seen by 7,455 people. I think we’re gonna need a bigger library…
Harvest Blessing
Well, it’s been a long day for me… I finished up my two donations to the raffle… a can lid pumpkin… and this little watercolor chickadee. I managed to paint him in a couple of free hours this morning! Nothing like waiting until the last minute! Then the twins and their mother made cranberry nut…
Your Local Library
Tomorrow is our biggest fundraiser for our little Friends of the Ten Sleep Library group… the Harvest Dinner. We have a great bunch of ladies and one generous and kind gentleman in our Friends. We work hard to have fundraisers, and even though we are not a rich county nor town, we feel well supported…
