Prepare to Blush

Posted on October 27, 2013

Stories of Hope

Posted on October 27, 2013

It’s been weeks now since the dreadful Atlas Blizzard struck Wyoming, South Dakota, and Nebraska.  My post subtitled “10 Things You Might Not Know About the Atlas Blizzard and Cattle” received many, many hits.  Outpourings of sympathy flooded my blog and facebook posts, and I thought it might be time for an update. Since the…

Posted on October 25, 2013

Well, it’s confirmed. I’m one of the speakers next January for the Johnson County Cattlewomen Meeting in Buffalo, Wyoming. Yeah.  Me! I’ve been wanting to try this… and by golly, if they didn’t just call me out of the blue!  They’re looking for something on the lighthearted side… and somehow thought I might be able…

Sweet Dreams

Posted on October 24, 2013

Worked in Worland’s library after my stint in the Ten Sleep Library, then went grocery shopping and right now, I’m about to tip over. I was going to update you on the Atlas Blizzard, but I really can’t even focus very well!  I think I’ll leave that for another night! I did manage yesterday to…

Windows and Calendar

Posted on October 22, 2013October 22, 2013

This helped today! Finally, I got the table saw up to my studio where I can rip the boards necessary for the last few windows’ installation!  I’m racing against a coming storm… and with Thursday and Friday my days at the library… today and tomorrow are probably *it*. So… This is what I got for…

Better Deal

Posted on October 21, 2013

Well, it’s done!  I *did* complete something today!  My calendar is put together and ready to print! I know I probably shouldn’t have said so until my shop was up and running, but I’m excited!  I had 82 photos picked from this last year that I had to condense down into only 12 months with…

Posted on October 20, 2013October 22, 2013

Too many irons in the fire… and none of them hot enough to brand! I worked on many things around here, but not a single one was finished, which just bums me out! I wandered around looking for pins to hold my dutch door together and didn’t find anything… I started working on the final…

Out There

Posted on October 18, 2013

Well, it’s been a long day of work, then we set up for a library book sale, then moved all the raffle items over to the school cafeteria for the Harvest Dinner, then zipped over to Worland and had our annual Girl Scout supper with “girls” we worked with up at Girl Scout National Center…

Harvest Dinner Raffle Preview

Posted on October 17, 2013

After a day’s work at the library, and making meatloaf, baked potatoes, and biscuits for supper… I cranked out a few Soap Stones to donate to our Harvest Dinner fundraiser on Saturday!  Yeah, ALREADY!  It always seems to sneak up on me! Seems like we’re down in donations this year for the library raffle… So…

Carol, Wyoming rancher

Since 2008, I’ve kept this photographic journal of life on our working Wyoming ranch.  I share ranch work, my family, crafts and DIY, my English Shepherds, Bravo and Indy, and a love for this land.  Enjoy this red dirt country!
