What a Life!

Posted on June 22, 2015

In amongst all the other things that have been going on, Brandon found a couple of bulls that had… ummm… to say it delicately… They had broken their “equipment”.  One may heal if he leaves the girls alone, so he is in a corral.  The other one?  Nah.  It didn’t look good. What? You didn’t…

Steer Trails

Posted on June 21, 2015

I seem to be rather random with no big story for you, so here’s random shots… This mule deer doe had twin fawns.  I rode by them in the badlands just after sunrise… The reservoir at Wire Corral is full and gorgeous in the early morning light.  The “badlands” haven’t looked this good in years! …

Haying Season

Posted on June 19, 2015

The guys are busy getting started haying… The center pivot field making for pretty semi-circular designs… Of course, if you start haying… this is bound to happen, too… It poured for a bit… .3″, but, unbelievably, the hay doesn’t look too bad! It’s been hot here, so hay dries quickly… Daniel is cutting it down…

Awwwwww…

Posted on June 18, 2015

The mountain trip was relaxing… seeing all the green that this rain has blessed us with, the water running in places it doesn’t usually run, and wildflowers!  My, it was sweet! We had also seen a small herd of elk on our ridge.  That’s always enjoyable…  But, on the way down, we managed to spy…

Shooting Star Gallery

Posted on June 16, 2015

Mountain Pasture: While yellow flowers dominated the lower elevations, the top of the mountain was championed by shooting stars… first, lining the edges of buffalo trails, then in shy portrait… followed by eye popping vivid setting, and lastly, pink petals in black and white.

Another Tour

Posted on June 15, 2015

My compadres and I went up to our Mesa and leased Slope Pastures… Aren’t they a fine lookin’ bunch? We enjoyed seeing five hundred foot Otter Creek Canyon (no, the bottom of the canyon cannot be seen in this photo)… Various wildlife was spotted, including this sage chicken peering through the thick grass.  (Yes, this…

Wait

Posted on June 14, 2015

Yippee Yay!  The Camera has been found after many days of being misplaced.  I knew it was somewhere! (Well, THAT was an intelligent statement!)  The “somewhere” turned out to be my “bee bag” that holds extra supplies for my Bee Barn, my extra hat and veil, benadryl/epi stuff, bread knife, and a little red camera…
