Winter Wardrobe

Posted on December 19, 2011April 1, 2015

…I continue my walk. I head for a woven wire gate… easier than climbing over the tight barbed wire!  But there, on the other side, sits a snowshoe hare! He’s taking in the sun, and barely glances at me as I approach. The dogs are off in the weeds somewhere… and I return down the…

Where Was I?

Posted on December 18, 2011April 1, 2015

Like I mentioned yesterday… I had a few adventures on my walk. After communing with our new bulls for a bit (and exposing my new camera to its first taste of hay dust!), the dogs and I proceeded down to the water gap. This camera has the cool feature where you can choose one color……

Handsome

Posted on December 17, 2011April 1, 2015

I managed to take my walk this afternoon… a glorious day where my sweatshirt and Carhartt were just too heavy and too warm!  It was probably in the ’40’s… but, my! how nice! I had MULTIPLE tiny adventures… and managed to get them on “film” with my new toy… well, until the battery went dead!…

New Toy… Again

Posted on December 16, 2011November 24, 2014

This is it. The new toy. Canon PowerShot ELPH 510 HS Digital Camera Touch screen. 12x zoom. So far… pretty stinking cool. This is what will bring you cows and calves, cowboys and creekwalks, and for the next few weeks… Christmas scenery! Time will tell if Canon products hold up to Wyoming dust. If anyone…

Tootsies

Posted on December 15, 2011November 24, 2014

I’m home. I left Kaycee this afternoon, positive that Victoria can handle those boys!  She might need an extra hand or two on occasion… but in the past few days, she’s become an expert on tandem feeding. It is an art. The boys are getting it figured out as well. I’ve learned a great deal…

Lights of Kaycee

Posted on December 13, 2011February 5, 2014

Victoria had a great idea tonight… I should head down to Chris LeDoux’s memorial park and take some photos for you guys. I jumped at the chance even though low light photography is a major weakness of mine! Although the LeDoux family has done a great job with the trees in the park…. There were…
