Roads No Longer Traveled
Spent two hours trying to get a video of Eden put together… but, it didn’t work out, for some reason the photos show up but don’t play in the slideshow… so… pooh. I alternated frustration with the computer with cleaning up my yard and mowing the leaves and grass… until I broke my lawnmower… Yeah. …
Tour
Spent the afternoon with the guys and a neighbor looking over his place. I LOVE seeing new country, and it was torture driving through gorgeous country and not stopping every bit to take photos! Today the weather acted stormy with a 20% chance of rain… and you could look down the slope of the Big…
Just a Hike
Company’s gone, Harvest Dinner is over… and what did I do this evening???? I just vegged. Or is it veged? Anyway, I didn’t do a thing! Should I have? Sure. I could have been creative or cleaned or folded clothes or something… but I didn’t… and I didn’t make an Eden video or answer questions. …
Harvest Blessing
Well, it’s been a long day for me… I finished up my two donations to the raffle… a can lid pumpkin… and this little watercolor chickadee. I managed to paint him in a couple of free hours this morning! Nothing like waiting until the last minute! Then the twins and their mother made cranberry nut…
Your Local Library
Tomorrow is our biggest fundraiser for our little Friends of the Ten Sleep Library group… the Harvest Dinner. We have a great bunch of ladies and one generous and kind gentleman in our Friends. We work hard to have fundraisers, and even though we are not a rich county nor town, we feel well supported…
Hunting Cat
Hunter Fest is an annual event held the day before Opening Day of Deer Season. You know, the biggest holiday in October, right??? Free hamburgers, pop, tshirts… a raffle or two… and the most enjoyable for me, Wyoming author, Cat Urbigkit! Although she was just here for One Book Wyoming, Cat thought she’d promote her…
We Can
How so many things affect us as we grow… multiple friends, our communities, a world of activities… As life goes on, the multiple distractions are whittled down, baring those true friends, the support of your close circle around you, and those activities that are special. I’m reminded of this every year by the short visit…
Down Hill
It started early with brisk mountain air and reluctant horses… And quickly switched to following cows… Up. Down. Over. Through the rocks. Lined out. With a good pat and scratch at the end for a job well done. This year’s trail down the hill was a Good One!
Windy Ride
Definitely a windsday on a Sunday… at times it seemed as if Panama staggered with the wind gusts! I managed to keep my hat on with my hoodie pulled up tight over it, though many a time today our heads were bent into the wind trying to keep our caps on. I saw Vernon tuck…
Lone Tree
Elk and deer season traffic has begun. There’s lots of money in those rigs! If only I had a quarter for every… four-wheeler, side by side, 5th wheel, tent, rifle, and cooler… and cans of beer… The weather here continues to be spectacular… highs in the ’70’s today… pretty hot for this time of year….
