Soft Kitty

Posted on September 21, 2013September 21, 2013

My sister is back for a couple of days… and we were working on another project… On our way, we spied this little cutie. Kind of a strange little kitty, let’s look at him again.                           All right… I’ll get a little more…

Posted on August 13, 2013

We Have Elk! Video

Posted on July 26, 2013

Turn up your volume. Turns out, you HEAR the elk tons more than you see them!  I knew they were there in the trees… and I could see flitting patches of warm brown fur between the trees, much better than my camera could. The call between cows and their calves is haunting, and desperate, and…

We Have ELK!

Posted on July 25, 2013

Last night the decision was made to move our cows.  They are up in our high mountain pasture, which, unfortunately, has a fair amount of larkspur in it.  Tall purple larkspur, while a somewhat attractive wildflower, is also highly toxic to cattle.  It also must taste ok, because they’ll eat it!  The older it is…
