Comprende?

Posted on November 1, 2011April 1, 2015

Spent 80% of today making applestuff… Two big 9×13 pans of apple crisp… Dried apples… Applesauce… I’m pretty tired of peeling apples… and most were even huge softball sized ones, so it went fast! I also supervised Daniel’s cutting up of his antelope for jerky… though I wasn’t much help… I was too scared of…

There’s 31 of my photos in here… just like last year’s, a large monthly photo (suitable for framing ) with each…

Favorite Touches

Posted on October 30, 2011February 4, 2015

To finish my reno post… a few of my favorite touches… Fish ARE back in the bathroom… just not the ones from the ’50’s!   These are a little older… my dad’s fossil fish, plus one gifted from a friend, are hung with copper wire, patina already in place!  Though not thrilled with the look…

Looks Good!

Posted on October 29, 2011February 4, 2015

By royal decree… I declare the bathroom remodel complete! Today’s post is celebrating the bathroom as it is now! Stone seems to be my theme… and everything just fell into place! The bigger sink/vanity and medicine cabinet were purchased at a garage sale and spruced up!  Wall paint was just a few bucks… mixing mistakes!…

That Once Was

Posted on October 28, 2011February 4, 2015

I see over on a famous “pioneer” blog that she’s getting a room remodeled by HGTV. Wow. I’ve been wishing for “Yard Crashers” to show up here… but since I live four hours from a Lowe’s store… I can’t see it happening anytime soon! Well, HGTV won’t be doing it… but something *might* be happening…

The Love of the Hunt

Posted on October 27, 2011February 4, 2015

I’ve mentioned before… it’s hunting season around here. If you don’t appreciate that… perhaps you should skip this post.  Catch up with me tomorrow… But I’m gonna tell a huntin’ story! I grew up with a dad that loved hunting. In fact, the story goes… my dad went out quail hunting the day I was…

So Stoked II

Posted on October 25, 2011April 1, 2015

Well, MOST of the out of state hunters have returned home… Wyoming deer, elk, and antelope fill many a freezer in Minnesota and Wisconsin! Our guys have left as well, smiles on their faces and blood on their camo. Last year, I talked of the gift our one hunter left me and I entitled the…

Minute Movie: Roadtrip

Posted on October 24, 2011April 1, 2015

Yessirree! I can finish something! This Minute Movie was filmed when I came home from Victoria’s baby shower… The trip covers 60 miles, but usually takes me an hour and a half.  Crossing the Big Horn Mountains is winding, twisting Highway 16.  Dubbed “Sweet 16” when it opened, it is a gorgeous trip… except when…

Baby Blankets

Posted on October 23, 2011October 26, 2014

Victoria bought the fabric and designed the look, but *I* made her baby quilts!  I have one completely finished… as of this afternoon! I did some handquilting on it… “caterpillar tracks” squiggles in a huge X across the green squares… and then in a diamond shape through the colored squares. The back is blue flannel….

Posted on October 21, 2011October 26, 2014
