Eggs and Tomatoes

Posted on September 16, 2011January 30, 2015

As usual, you guys are so SWEET!  Thanks for all the well wishes for little Quinlan!  I know Brandon reads this… well, he did before his activity level got boosted up another foot… so, I’m sure these are all getting read and passed along. Thank you SO MUCH. <Yes, Quinlan was a little earlier than…

Entrepreneurial Partners

Posted on August 29, 2011January 21, 2015

So, yesterday on my wanderings, I grabbed a few shovelfuls of teeny tiny eentsy weentsy rock.  It took forever, picking them up with tweezers! Nah… I’m foolin’ ya….

I’m Lichen It!

Posted on August 28, 2011January 19, 2015

I’m needing to finish up some details on my projects so I can count them as completed. The last thing needed in my bathroom is the decorative “chair rail” that I originally hoped to cover in fossils.  Alas and alack! my fossil stash is too poor to use the way I’d originally intended.  I’d also…

Nowood Metal Art

Posted on August 18, 2011April 1, 2015

You know this handsome guy… He’s my youngest… He has a new endeavor. Let me give you a Big (TALL) Hint. He’s standing below his first large production, a metal frame/sign for our Wyoming Centennial Farm and Ranch award we received two years ago. (It’s really not going to be that tall, we do have…

Questions and Answers – June 2011 Edition

Posted on June 13, 2011August 1, 2013

It’s late and I’m just sitting down to do this… better get crackin’!   Lou Anne wrote:
Hi Carol, I was thinking about Dally trying to get in and be with Elsa’s puppies and not being accepted. Has Elsa shown any interest in the new puppies and if so, is Dally letting Grandma visit?     …

The Puppy Coop Is Open

Posted on May 30, 2011January 12, 2015

We start riding tomorrow, gathering cattle in the muddy badlands. That meant today was a deadline of sorts.  One that separates me from all the new additions.  There would be no one here to let Dally outside… and she’s had more than one accident inside as of late.  She HAD to move outside, meaning puppies…

Questions and Answers – April 2011 Edition

As the snow and rain begin to fall outside my window, I’ll sit here inside and enjoy answering your great questions!   Taylor wrote:
Someone may have already asked this, but how soon will you be able to tell if Dally is pregnant? So excited to see her puppies! Well, Taylor, if I took her to…

Happy With It!

Posted on February 19, 2011January 13, 2015

Here she was. And here she is… Complete. OK, Dori, I still haven’t installed your remote so the door can stay shut.  Someday… I LOVE my “old” glass knobs I found. I’m pretty happy with it! **** February 19, 2010   Heifer Check, Check? Right… February 19, 2009   More Preparations February 19, 2008  …

Smiling Here

Posted on February 15, 2011January 13, 2015

OK. This curtain thing is gonna kill me. Vernon would live in a cave… I want lots of light and visibility. How do you blend those two desires into one? Well, I’m trying some dark chocolate lined curtains with sheers in between.  I had hoped to be able to pull them to the outside of…

New Addition

Posted on February 7, 2011January 13, 2015

No, it’s not a new calf… we still have a few weeks before that happens… Remember my Indian Room? the first room completed (still no curtains and the baseboard needs finished but done enough!) out of my entire house? Well, I had a gap next to my desk… and a TON of books on Indians…

Happy Blogoversary to Me!

Posted on January 20, 2011January 11, 2015

Yup. It’s true. January 20, 2008, I began this blog! After following some blogs out there… and having people question me about my life through my Rimrock English Shepherds website… I hemmed and hawed and bit my fingernails and kicked some dirt and stuck my hands in my pockets. “Yeah, OK.  I can do this.” After…

In The Works

Posted on January 16, 2011January 11, 2015

Well, I’ve known before that I hate hinges… for some reason, they puzzle me up!  Because of that simple little quirk, I didn’t accomplish anything with my dresser today except for sanding the drawer front. Yes, due to popular demand, I’m going to attempt to leave it on!  I’m glad everyone supported that idea… I…

Carol, Wyoming rancher

Since 2008, I’ve kept this photographic journal of life on our working Wyoming ranch.  I share ranch work, my family, crafts and DIY, my English Shepherds, Bravo and Indy, and a love for this land.  Enjoy this red dirt country!
